Bavaria 41 Cruiser

This was my first time taking yacht cruise. Even I spend a lot of time on the water (SUP surfing, kitesurfing) it was the first experience going with yacht. The Local charter operator do everything in time. They have very professional team and keep their fleet in a very good condition. We didn't face any serious problems with the equipment. Bavaria 41 feet is not too spacious for 6 adults but enough. The rather powerful engine give you much more freedom to go on sails and than catch up in case your crew got bored. The route we chose seems to be pretty standard for this region (Rhodes-Simi-Tilos-Chalki-Rhodes south traverse) but very nice with a lot of lovely lagoons and short day routes between islands.

We had a good chat about Ports and anchorages within the area , and all of them was right on the mark giving a good variety from lively- to your on your own..

Staff available only a phone call away( we only called them once) but they claimed 24hour and I believed them.

Dingy and outboard fit for purpose, a fact sadly overlooked on other boats, which meant anchoring off the beaten track was no problem.
We were a bit unlucky with the wind which meant we had to motor a few days but when we did get the sails out the Bavaria performed well in light to med winds- its a doddle to handle, with the main being in mast furling.

Electric toilets- says it all

Manoeuvring the boat was good in tight situations, particularly having the bow thruster when we needed it.

We could have done with the chart plotter on Deck, particularly approaching port and docking. Having it positioned at the chart table below was great for planning but not so good for the execution

Stan techniczny jachtu był bardzo dobry.
Port i baza czarterowa były bardzo dobre. Zakupy można zrobić bez problemu w porcie, towary są dostarczane na jacht. W pobliżu znajdują się restauracje ze świeżymi rybami i owocami morza oraz wiele atrakcyjnych miejsc do zobaczenia.
